Water filters work by using a filter, not unlike your air conditioning filter, that catches the impurities as the water flows through it, allowing nothing but clean water to enter whatever receptacle you choose. Over time, however, the water filters can become clogged with all of those impurities, keeping the filter from acting as effectively as possible. Pure Water Filter: Is Your Drinking Water Clean?

However, you are also paying for the filtering process that cleans the water before it reaches your faucet. However, what happens if something gets into the water after it reaches the treatment plant? If you were to look at the insides of the pipes that carries the water to your home, you would probably think twice about drinking that water ever again. That’s because no matter how much the water is treated, there will always be impurities in it. Most of the impurities are microscopic but they are nothing that a pure water filter can’t get rid of.
